Set Up Linkd

Run Linkd locally, deploy it on your Cloudflare account, and test a disposable client request.

The purchased Linkd download contains the application source and the detailed SETUP/ handbook. Use that handbook for exact commands and current configuration names. This guide shows the order of work and the checks that matter before you use a real client's account.

What you need

Your own Cloudflare account and domain. The delivered Next.js deployment requires Cloudflare Workers Paid and a D1 database.
Cloudflare Access to protect the agency /admin area while leaving each public client link accessible.
A local development environment that meets the Node.js and npm versions in the buyer handbook.
Your own email sending domain and SendGrid configuration if you want Linkd to send agency alerts.

The source package does not include the seller's database, provider tokens, Google or Meta app approvals, or a hosted service.

Work through the buyer handbook

Open SETUP/README.md in your download and follow chapters/01-local.md to install dependencies, configure local secrets, run migrations and checks, and inspect the sample UI.
Follow chapters/02-cloudflare.md to use your own Worker, D1 database, domain, and Cloudflare Access application. The package's placeholder Cloudflare values cannot be used for a live deployment.
Follow chapters/03-agency.md to create your agency and fill in its real access recipient, support email, Google Ads manager ID, and Meta Business ID where applicable.
Create a disposable request. Open its client link in a separate browser or phone, try the guided cards and help action, check the agency view, then revoke that test link.

The disposable access-link form asks for a client name, optional email, client message, and private team note.

Keep AUTOMATED_PLATFORMS empty until your own provider apps are approved and a real disposable grant succeeds. The guided client steps work while approval is pending. See Provider Apps and Approvals.

Before sending a real link

Confirm that a person outside Cloudflare Access can open the client page, that only approved team members can open /admin, and that the agency details shown on the client page are yours. If you enable email alerts, send a test to an address you control and verify it arrives. The buyer handbook remains the source for deployment and credential steps.
